Sawmill Settlement is a 550 acre township known for its Australian Bush landscape, quirky homes and close proximity to the Delatite river. The river offers crystal clear swimming holes, world class trout fishing, and tracks to hike or mountain bike on. The town area was a large working mill in the early 20th Century with remnants of the industry still visible.
Mt Buller and Mt Stirling

Many properties in Sawmill Settlement forgo fencing enhancing the bush feel and allowing the natural fauna to roam freely thus animal sightings are common. Expect to find Wombats, Wallabies, Lyrebirds and Kangaroos as well as Deer, Rabbits and Possums. The bird life is exceptional with many varieties of Rosella and Cockatoos, the Bower bird, the Wattle bird, Kookaburras and the Australian Magpie.
